The Westin Tampa Waterside hotel, located on Harbour Island in downtown Tampa—has recently changed hands. Rockpoint and Newbond Holdings acquired the property in a joint venture, announced Sept. 15, 2025.

The 309-room hotel sits on a 1.5-acre lot and is near major local attractions like the Tampa Convention Center, the Water Street district, and the Riverwalk. Under the new ownership, plans include renovations to guest rooms, lobby, and meeting spaces. 

According to CRE News, the sale price is estimated at $95.55 million, which works out to roughly $319,565 per room. 

This transaction signals confidence in Tampa’s hospitality sector and the continued appeal of Harbour Island as a strategic location for tourism and development.
