Harbour Island has a new morning ritual, and it comes wrapped in a flakey, buttery croissant. Jack’s Waterfront Café & Wine Bar — newly opened this year at 601 S. Harbour Island Blvd. — has elevated the humble breakfast sandwich into something worth crossing the bridge for, or staying on the island to enjoy waterfront views of yachts and the downtown Tampa skyline.
At just $8, their sausage, egg, and cheese croissant packs two hearty sausage patties, perfectly cooked egg, and piping hot cheese, all layered inside a croissant that’s crisp on the outside and melt-in-your-mouth on the inside. It’s a simple combo, done really, really well.
Jack’s isn’t new to the neighborhood. Longtime locals might remember the team behind Fast Jack’s, once tucked away in a service entrance on the waterfront. Now, with a full café and wine bar, the brand has room to shine — and a proper place to sit down and enjoy your breakfast.
